Dead in Yellow cook the Lobsters

Cadavers (4) vs Lobsters
Monday October 19th
UMass 8:10pm

4-0 Win.

Nightcap game that was played right after the Suds tie with the Predators. Again there was as fair amount of double game skating for a lot of the guys. This resulted in a full bench, and Jeff rotated in occasionally with the D and a shift or two on offense for Kevin Parker when he had the chance... otherwise he just wheezed from behind the bench squawking out line changes.

Here's what the roster looked like.
Roman
Matvey
Jeff
KenMitch
Greg James
Moorachian
Valenti
Reynolds
Douville
Elliot
Gregson
Herbert
Goodwin
Parker

Again... please comment if you recall something from this game as it was so long ago now I've surely got a slim chance of remembering all the circumstances.

This time out the Lobsters did not have all of the new talent we saw during last season. The Red was decidedly more down to earth and looked a lot like the squad we were used to seeing. The Cads wore the Schlitz shirts from the game before and were the Dead in Yellow again.
The Zombies took the play and carried it for the whole night. The Lobsters would get a few chances but they would be squashed pretty well and Mark Marrese would play great in net the whole game.
According to the scoresheet there was only one penalty, Valenti in the first period for a hold. No other penalties in the game.

The goals went like this.
Goody unassisted
George from Steve Baker
KenMitch Goldenberg unassisted.
Baker from George
One story the Blogger can relate is a humorous exchange between Jeff who was behind the bench and George who was taking regular shifts. Jeff sugested lines for the penalty kill at one point, the skaters were on the way to the faceoff and George went nuts saying they had to change or the wrong defensemen... something like that. Its pretty funny when two Blow-hards and I do mean Blow-hards argue over lines like its the end of the world. Both realized the situation and the arguement was foolish and irrelevant in moments and things went back to normal. There was no shortage of snickers and grins as the profanity flew for a moment.
Parker was overheard after things got quiet.... "Me likey angry Jeff... " ... more snickers....
... for the record there were no hard feelings on either side...

A nice way to end the night and finally we get a win at the House of Horrors. Thankfully this was the last UMass date on the early season schedule and we can only hope it doesn't pop up again later in the year.
