Cadavers vs Rangers Tuesday 6/29

The blogger doesn't have much on this one. He did collect the scoresheet from the CEO who had a few words but no official guest blog on this one.
Lets start off with who was there:

Sounds like it was a tight game and the Dead in Red kept the game close and kept coming back, but unfortunatley the Rangers would dominate late and snatched the game from our cold withered hands.
Here is how the scoring looked from the sheet.

1st per: Larry assisted by 36 @ 16:25 Pen: Baker rough 14:46
The Rangers scored in 1st @ 4min and 2:55

2nd per: Rangers score @ 2:55. Zombies Jay Seaver from DWH @ 1:50. down 3-2 after 2.

3rd Per: Rangers score @13:12. Zombies Seaver from Howard @4:31 Pen: Larry rough 1:59

That was how it would go. Just not enough to come back and tie it up at the end. Good work by the Cads to stay with it and make a game of it, too bad we couldn't pull it off.
Well... so not much of a story here... so lets revisit some ancient history involving the Rangers... shall we?

Welcome to the Hockey Blog!

Team, friends, opponents, and random wanderers of the digital landscape... Welcome.

In these humble pages do I offer the game stories, mundane facts, stats, and proud tales of our Beer League Hockey teams the Cadavers and the Schlitz.

Can you say something is just a hobby if you do it once (or twice) a week for as long as you can remember? I don't know, but I love to play hockey. We've been playing with one incarnation of this team or another for ten years plus now. We play even if the games are late at night, or on a weeknight (they are usually both), and the kids haven't been sleeping great, and you have to be to work early tomorrow morning. We still go play. Its just what we do to play our game.

Our hobby... or what we do every week, sometimes(mostly) late at night in far away places. Then we like to have a cold beverage and talk about it in the parking lot afterward. Because that's a big part of it to... as you will see.

I got to thinking a while back that we should keep stats. You know, some way to give a story line to the season. So many of them had flown by, it was hard to remember all the things that had happened to the team or teams over the years.

Keeping track of the stats and email conversation threads that went on and on told our story in a new way. Which was cool.
Then I discovered blogger.

The Blog is a perfect forum, in my opinion, to tell our story, and the perfect companion "hobby" to my weekly sport hobby. Each week we get a game story and maybe some fun stories about the game. It works great now with the two teams because everyone wants to know how the other squad did.

So this is the story of our teams and our friends. I hope you find pleasure in the telling of our tales. A good game, a hard skate and usually a cold beer afterward. There are few greater things one can do with their time. At least that's what we think.

Please feel free to comment, whomever you are. The more the merrier I say as long as you are polite... or very funny. Visitors, friends, and opponents thoughts are always welcome. I invite you to share what you have to say. Everyone.
