Suds and Strippahs Struggle to a tie!

Schlitz vs Alex's
Tuesday 3/29
Canton 910pm

2-2 Tie

The last regular season game of the looong winter season was on tap as the Suds faced the guy's sponsored by the strippers over at Club Alex's.

Here was your gameday roster:
Baker
Bauer
Boisvert
Bell
Elliot
Goodwin
Gregson
Herbert
Kurin
Moorachian
Nikhamik
Pounds
Reynolds
Jon Cole in Net.

Not much in the way of gamestories mailed in from this one. With one notable exception. It seems Steve Baker took exception to a few things done or said... still no specifics and apparently went all Rock 'em Socke 'em Robots on half the Alex's team. Tossed for fighting 3 (that's right) opposing players, Steve outdid himself.

Here were some comments:
Boisvert: Baker got a one game suspension for fighting three guys and he was wearing my shirt so technically I'm suspended.
Nelson: A desperate, last minute, if ill-advised attempt to wrest the Mike Campbell award away from it's rightful owner.
How fair is it that God gives a pair of legs and that kind of shot to a person who, shall we say, is so prone to ill-advised decisions and gives me the Building 19 remnants? Not very.
Valenti: I have not played in months and why am I not surprised that Baker got in a fight with not one…not two…but three guys.
Bauer: I scored two goals during my first shift. Both were with my head down and my eyes shut!

So according to the score sheet the Suds scored early, both Bauer from Bell then fought off the Alex's come back and earned a 2-2 tie against a team that usually outclasses us. (we showed them class!). Alex's scored once just before the end of the first and once halfway through the second. No scoring in the third.

Penalites to Roman (rough) and Baker (Fighting and Game Misconduct)
Oh well. A tie is a tie. At least something interesting happend. Although it would have been more interesting if the sponsors of the opponent had shown up with a few ladies... you know... for the effort...

Its on to the playoffs.
